Context

John A. Smith June 19, 1990 Dear Pauline: Our letters must have crossed. But this letter of yours of the 11th of June deserves an answer so here goes. We still think it just great that you keep us all informed about the Harris-Lamberts connection and we must keep our contact close. I have told Edna to be sure that you get a book about the 75 year history of Ryder so give her a call and you can pick up your copy. The publisher asks $12 per copy. You may have heard that this book is on the Reading list for United Meth. women for the year 1990-91 which we think is sort of nice. We do not suppose that there will be lot of persons who want their copy of the book but every little bit counts Nothing of significance by way of change in the picture here. I am able to get out of bed, eat at the table, use the typewriter, make it to the bathroom and all these are plusses. We get good things to read and we have wonderful letters, like the one you wrote so it alleviates the drudgery which might otherwise take over. And we have had an exciting string of visitors! Thanks again for the good letter and take good care of yourself and your family. And we will do better in keeping in touch. Our very best wishes and deep appreciation. Shalom. John & Virginia Smith
