I will be happy to share any information I have with you and hope you will help me fill out and correct my charts. Have enclosed an ancestors chart and a family group sheet for you to correct and add anything you can. You may want to xerox them before you return them to me so you'll have a copy. I will appreciate you listing your nieces and nephews and their addresses. I believe Alva's grandsons are the only male Lamberts to carry on the name in the D. W. Lambert line. There aren't many males left in the Reece Lambert line either. My father is the last of

the Lambert name in our branch of the Reece line.
I have enclosed some old letters and poetry written by your father. Have xeroxed them so you may keep them if you like. The letter Patty mentioned was one in which I was trying to find out if anyone had Alva's old records about the family reunion etc. I wondered if anyone knows who Alanzo Edward Lambert was who is mentioned in the 1931 letter - or who Frank Lambert was who lived near Dayton and had valuable family data. A. E. is supposed to connect to our Lamberts and I need to know how. Frank may belong to other lines and The Lambert Family Assoc. would like to know about him.
In case you do not know of the letters it is for all Lamberts in the U.S. and they are gathering materials for a book. There were a great many early Lamberts in this country - both English and German. Sorting them out is a gigantic task and we all need to help. The [...] has just met this week-end in Texarkana, Ark. They publish a newsletter semi-annually. Have enclosed a copy of the last one for you. The dues are $5 to be sent to Alton Lambert. You might enjoy [...] and perhaps would help with the Ind. Lamberts. (By the way we do not consider that to be the crest for our Lamberts) Have xeroxed a [picture?] from the Jan Newletteer which has Ind. Lamberts in it

I thought that picture might be of your uncle Ira. He had 2 daughters, - but Lucile and Daniel both thought not. They remember him as of stocky build. Hope you can help!!!
I have lovely family portrait of Alva's family made by Baker's Art Gallery, Columbus, O. You have a big white hair ribbon on and look to be about 5 years old. I imagine you have this but if not I imagine it could be copied. The only other thing I can think of is a copy of Daniel Webster Lambert [...]. I'm sure your dad had a copy if you can find it. If not let me know and I'll xerox it.
Pauline has been very helpful and a loyal correspondent. I met her sister, Lucile, & husband also Daniel Harris & wife in Florida last winter. Have never met Pauline.
Hope this will help you. I'm trying to get together the early records I have and will be sure that you have a copy when I ever get it finished. We have just this summer learned the parents of Winnifreed Cartwright and are trying to get back to the immigrant ancestor in that family. Have not been able to find the parents of John Lambert b 1715 though I feel he was from the Roger Lambert line - but we have no proof.
Let's keep in touch.
Sincerely,
{Bette L. Knapp}
