Context

[Mailed 26 Feb 1898 to Bertha in care of Mrs. Rowley, 1222 1/2 Curtiss Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Letter returned to writer unclaimed 26 Mar 1898.] Westerville, Ohio. Feb. 25, 1898. Miss Bertha Lambert, Cleveland, Ohio. Darling Bertha: I will send only a few lines to say that all is well except your absence. Have been very busy all the time. I have not heard from you but I suppose you are getting along nicely or I should have heard. The time seems rather long but I will not get all my work done. The folks sympathize with me. Think I had better go out and see mother next Sun. I hope these are great days to you and that you may be able to get something that will be helpful to us both. I suppose they will ask for a pledge (annual) for the work. Give what you think best. I gave $2 per yr for 3 yrs at Detroit Con. Your Lover J. H. Harris P.O. at 2:45 P.M. Yours at hand expresses everything. (J.H.H.)
