Dear Richard: Your letter just came and it is so precious. Yes I often wish we could be together but try to be happy and make the best of it.
I am feeling so much better. I believe my peanuts and apples proved to be good medicine. The boys start to school this P.M. Be sure to that Mrs. Lots for her wonderful kindness to me. Maybe I reminded her of her mother. Thank you for calling Ottie. Keep in touch with him. He needs all of us.
It was so good of you to come along with me. I can't thank you enough. I meant to pay your car fare but childlike left every thing for you to do.
With loads of love, Mother
Bertha L. Harris.
