Context

Diane Wray Williams for state representative * Moorhead Dear Paul - I'm enroute on NW from Mpls to Fargo - heading home after a day of meetings on the Mn Health Care Commission. Thought you'd get a kick out of campaign letter head ~ besides it's leftover and I'm to Scotch to waste it. The brochure gives you an idea of where my head has been the last few years - & the Christmas letter will bring you up to date on my little north country clan. Thanks for the phone call even tho' 'twas a sad occasion. I really appreciate being informed, included, connected. I'll copy those letters soon - 'twas a fluke I ended up with them because I just brought them back in a box of stuff from my brother. Best wishes again on the job search. Keep in touch. With best wishes - {Diane} =========== [Christmas letter] Christmas 1993 We bring you greetings from our clan for a happy holiday and wonderful surprises in the new year. Tom and Diane adjusted well to Tom being back in town after his sabbatical, although the MSU and Diane behind her desk at CCRI, or on the road to the Health Care Commission, or at Session, or at Jazz ARts, or ....! Cindy, Tony and Matt are working on their jobs, school and house in Fargo and trying to keep Baskerville (their bassett hound) and 3 cats on different floors of the house. Look for Matt behind any Batman comic, Tony behind a movie camera and Cindy in any good book. Amanda and Sajid became Moorhead homeowners this year and immediately enlarged their family to include Khushi, a German Shepherd full of "Joy". Rina and Sabrina, their basement tenants, have become the family sisters and add the Saudi influence. Look for Amanda driving the wheelchair van at her job of playing interior decorator, and look for Said buried in the car ads. (What?! Another car?!) Liz has become a "trekkie" - living and teaching in Alexandria and commuting back to the FM area on the weekend to catch up on Chuck and her family. Look for Liz in her cute little cottage at Lake Carlos or researching a new art lesson for her students. [End of Page 1] Sarah is a student again and loving it. She continues to work in Minneapolis in SILS and has started her Master's at St. Thomas. Fook for Sarah behind her new word processor. Carrie survived the Malibu fires, and so did the horse and car. The other good thing about that week was she got a job with Variety magazine. Her new address is 6245 Busch Dr., Malibu, CA 90265. Look for Carrie's art work in Variety. '93 gave us the chance to remodel the basement after finding 18 inches of water in it one morning in July. June Diane, Carrie, Cindy and Amanda terrorized the airlines and flew to Syracuse to take Grandma Caroline out to dinner and to church. We also managed to teach Zach and Emily the true meaning of the work cousin. Yuk! Yuk! Someone from Syracuse University called to say it was Diane's 35th reunion coming up. Must be some mistake....but just in case, let her know if you're going. Last time she saw some classmates there was some talk of a pajama party (boy! does that date her! Who wears pajamas anymore?) Have a blessed holiday season with your family and look forward to creative solutions in the new year! [Diane & Tom]
