My Darling Joe:
I cannot go to rest till I tell you I have lived over old times - 29 yrs. ago - all alone. I know you have thot of it too. I can see the old house with Father and Mother and all the dear ones, I've gone thru with the busy day the ceremony, the supper and all that followed. Those were the days when we had not begun to worry about our bills and the other problems of life, and I would not wish things otherwise if I had it all to live over after all these years. I wonder sometimes if I am the same girl, but my senses tell me I am but only changed.
You have been such a dear true husband. I could not have found such another husband if I had hunted the world over. I have always been proud of you and feel you have accomplished so much for the start you had.
I am sure we pledge anew today for the rest of our days together.
Lovingly,
Your wife
