Context

3923 Seeley Avenue Downers Grove, IL 60515 May 24, 1991 Mrs. Barbara Harris 54 Lorene Avenue Athens, OH 45701 Dear Barbara, Believe it or not, I am writing you again in less than three weeks! I have just gotten around to putting together some materials that I have wanted to send to you for some time. Please find enclosed the following: A five generation picture of Nancy Work, John W. Harris, Lucy Jane Harris, one of her sons and grandchildren. I need your help identifying the two youngest people in this picture. A picture of John W. Harris, his second wife, Margaret, and his nine surviving children. A copy of Watson Harris's original disownment from the Pennsville Monthly Meeting, signed by William Pierpoint, clerk. A copy of Watson Harris's property tax receipt for 1860 dated 3 Jan 1861 for $28.392. A copy of what appears to be a draft or note for $41.85 to Valentine Sorty(?), signed by Watson Harris. I am not sure of this last name and would appreciate your response if it makes more sense to you. A copy of a letter written to Joseph Harris from his father and step-mother, and the enclosures that came with it. The letter actually appears to have been written by Margaret. Enclosed with the letter was a seven page abstract of Richard Harris's Bible record prepared by Lenora McP in 1913. I have no idea who that might be and would appreciate any help you may be with that. As you can see from the above letter, Richard Harris's Bible was in the possession of the North family in 1913. I know the names of John and Sarah North's children, but not of their spouses or descendants. Perhaps you might have some additional awareness of this family? Sorry it has taken me so long to get this to you. If you have any questions or can be of any help on any of the above questions, I would appreciate hearing from you. Sincerely,
