Dear Paul,
It's getting near that time I dread every year as far as shopping goes. The way things are now, I would prefer you take the enclosed check & pick up some little thing for the children for Christmas & do whatever you want with the rest. I'll still probably send a small pkg. but its getting more difficult to buy for them. They really have to get their own clothes. I even have trouble buying clothes for Emily without her with me.
John had their quarterly meeting Wed. nite & then they went to Don's for dinner. Just after they

started eating, Norman (who was next to John) started having trouble speaking. He wound up at Clara Maas with a bad stroke. John was pretty shook up over it as they all were. I don't know if this will interfere with our Florida plans right now or not. It may have a very strong on United Label Corp. We just never know what will happen from one minute to the next. - At our age, health is the crucial area. Strokes are so completely debilitating. That's what John's Dr. is trying to avoid.
I don't imagine much is going to happen before election & not too much soon afterward.
