Context

Council of Administration of the Southeast Ohio Conference Church of the United Brethren in Christ June 23, 1920 Dear Brother: We have allowed Miami to be the first of the large conferences to reach the goal. WE must be next! We can win if a few charges will scurry about. Let every pastor look over his field and secure every additional dollar possible, even if your charge has reached their quota must not be content until the goal is reached. The Council of Administration met at Hillsboro June 18, and requested that every pastor complete and report his canvass to his District Leader by July 1, that the Conference Director may make his report to the headquarters by July 5. This is an order from Dayton headquarters. Do not overlook the fact that a "full budget" at conference will be three-fourths of this year's budget and one-eighth of the full quota of the new budget. Please read carefully the report of the Committee on Policy. Conference minutes pages 57-61. Note that the Conference Treasurer, E. S. Neuding, Circleville, Ohio, must close his books August 25, and that pastors must have their annual reports in the hands of the Statistical Secretary, Rev. E. E. Harris, Westerville, Ohio, August 25. Allow proper time for mailing. Also note pages 52-53 in the minutes on Seminary Extension and remember that each paper should reach a member of the committee on August 20. Please remember also that each pastor is to be held personally responsible for the minutes sent this year to his charge at the rate of ten cents the copy. See page 69. Please begin at once the work of the revision of class books and of reorganization for next year. Remember the Enlistment Movement is the will of God. Therefore, we expect every charge to press the canvass until it is complete. I desire to thank every pastor who has heroically carried out the Enlistment Campaign. Sincerely yours, J. H.
