Mr. J. H. Harris,
Plantsville, O.
My Darling Joe: — I believe it is not my turn to write but I will not wait for turns. I have decided to go to Iberia next Fri. July 3, and will probably want to canvass Galion next week if I can arrange matters all right. I feel like it is hardly right to bother you with such a questions just at the present time, but thought perhaps I had better write. I will need more studies and I thought possibly you had ordered. Now please do not let me make you any trouble for I would just as soon order them from the company and then it will save you the trouble. Ira had asked me to take some of him and I had planned to do that, but we rec'd word yesterday that he would not be at home until after the Y.W.C.A. conference. He is engaged to wait tables and seems to be entirely captured with the place. I have only written to you concerning the studies that we might have a clear understanding of things and do not want to make you any trouble at all.
I canvassed Mon. and sold five more of the studies. I want to finish up Westerville today. I have enjoyed the work so far exceedingly well. I can feel that I am introducing something of great worth to Bible students.
Our reception Mon. evening proved a grand success and every one seemed to enjoy it. I have been quite anxious to know how the sick ones are, and trust that you will all take good care of yourselves. I feel sorry to leave home for it will leave Mother & Elsie alone but I am glad they are here where they can enjoy so many privileges and opportunities.
You may answer me at Iberia and if you have sent studies (if expressed) they will have to come to St. James.
May God keep us in our wanderings.
Your true one,
Bertha Lambert.
