Context

[Westerville, OH, to Mr. J. H. Harris, Ada, Ohio, Box 479] Westerville O. 5-21-'95. Mr. Harris, Ada Ohio. Dear Joe: — Once more at home I grasp the pen to answer in a few words. I arrived last evening at 4 o'clock, had company all the way through. Everything seems to be in such a bustle and hurry that I can hardly settle my mind on what I want to say. My school closed up very pleasantly, and our entertainment was pronounced a success by all. The proceeds were $9.20 which just finished paying out on the organ. The organ was at church Sun. and every one lived through the day. Everything at home seems very strange. I can hardly realize that I am again in my own home. I am glad you did not get to hear the cry speech. As to your visit I presume you would rather wait until Decoration day as John & Hannah are coming tomorrow and I do not know how long they will stay. The next Examination will be the first Sat in June so I can take you part way home. If it will suit you any better to come Sat. it will be all right. Please let me know if you come then. As mother and Carrie have some work for me to do I will not try to write more now. Lovingly Bertha Lambert.
