Dear Paul,
Hello there! How are you?! I hope all is wonderful for you..... it's certainly wonderful for me! And it has nothing to do with teaching. Subbing has been slow since Christmas. This month I've gotta work on securing a maternity leave & through that be able to grab a position for next year. No, my love of life is not because of teaching..... I met someone, Paul! I met him 1 month ago tomorrow. He's just wonderful! He's everything I've been waiting for & I've been waiting a long time! His name is John Dunn, he's 5'9", blond hair, blue eyes; he's originally from Chicago, but moved down here in Oct. He's sensitive & romantic. Not only is he Catholic, but he has a faith (we met for mass & ashes last Wed. morning & then went to breakfast)..... that's so important to me, Paul, & I thought in this day & age it's harder to find! That's one of the reasons why I just know it's is a match made in heaven! I will marry this man. I have absolutely no doubts — there are no "flags," as there always were before when I thought of spending "forever" with anyone else. With John forever doesn't seem long enough. The only thing is he's separated. His wife lives in Chicago. That, however, is something that will be taken care of. Illinois has a 6-month no-fault divorce law & April will be 6 Mos. John will be best man in a wedding the end of June in Wisconsin. I'm going with him — we'll be driving up... & we'll be spending his birthday (7/1) in Chicago. I hope you'll be home because I want you 2 to meet. I'm just walking around on the clouds — people who don't even know me can tell I'm in love, & friends of John's at work who hadn't yet met me knew I was in love with him! "It's in my/her eyes" they said — all 3 on separate occasions, when John asked how they could tell. I love wearing the smile he puts on my face!

Our backgrounds are similar, our values are the same, we both love Florida..... it was just meant to be, Paul! Have you ever heard the song "Time & Tide" by Bascia? John told me that every time he hears it he thinks of us. If you get a chance, listen to it — it's a great song!
Hell, Paul, I'm running our of room. I wanted to bring you up-to-date on my life. (When I told my mom about John & that I knew I was going to marry him — I knew on 2/19 — she was "cautious." But she's happy for me now..... yrs ago I'd asked her, "Mom, how do you know when your in love forever as opposed to being in love just for now?" And she said, "Patti, you just know." That never made sense to me before; it makes sense now. I just know!
