Context

July 3, 1982 Dear Dick: Many thanks for your envelope of interesting items, including the Rose Garden and the Met week. Thanks to your arrangements I had a very enjoyable visit in Ohio. I hope you did not get stuck with too enormous a bill for the car. Certainly by the mile it was expensive, but for convenience it was the only way. Let me know what the bill was, and I'll be glad to send you a check. I have received the official appraisal of the silver tea set, and it is much higher than I thought it would be. It will help me with my taxes next April. In any case, I am glad it has a home, where it will be used and appreciated. I am not going to inviter you to come down here now. It is too hot and humid. Maybe we can arrange it for the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. I am keeping busy with lessons, and with sorting out my junk. So many books and papers! I must remember to fill out that genealogical sheet that you gave me, and send it in. Do keep you letters coming. They mean so much to me. Dan
