Dear Ones
Arrived at Danville 10:34. Pastor met me. Small attendance but good meeting. Stayed with pastor last night. They were going away early so got up at 5:00. They left 5:45 and I remained in the home until 6:30 when we drove 70 mi to Charleston instead of Casey. The [Thos] Lincoln cabin and tomb are just 6 or 8 mi S. of this place but presume cannot see them. Will pass through Westfield this evening. Rally at Robinson tomorrow. April 8 at Coluca instead of Canton. I may spend next Sat night so perhaps you should send laundry to Dr. Bonebrake instead of Hayne. The pastors in Springfield are Forwood and Fowler. A wonderful country. Pretty good attendance today. Good dinner, beef instead of creamed chicken & noodles. Good dinner with pastor yesterday. Several places here where Lincoln used to come. State Normal School here about 2500 to 3000 students. Hope all goes well at home.
Love to all,
J.H. Harris.
