I Elizabeth Stanton daughter of Joseph Stanton and hannah wife was born in the State of North Carolina in Jones County the 19 day of 10th moth 1798 the 6 day of the week about 5 o'clock in the morning my father livd there til year 1800 in the fourth month started to the stat of ohio and in the 5 month same year got to redstone settlement State of Pennsylvania fyat county and there lived til in the 10 month in the same year moved into the state of ohio Belmont County Peas township Concord settlement and threr he lived til the first day of first month 1801 he departed this life and was buryed in friends burying ground at concord meeting house and my mother lived there and kept house in that settlement til 1816 9 day of 11 mo started to move to Capteena and got there 11of same month it is about 30 miles from concord westward still in Belmont County Somerset Township and there we lived til 1817 9 day of first month I was maried to Abner Lambert went back to concord with my husband and there lived in the same settlement til 1818 6 day of 2 mo and 6 day of week started back to Capteena 7 of same month got there to my mothers house and there lived til 31day of 3 month in same year 3 day of week moved about 2 miles from there on our own place in same County and township and there lived til the 21 of third month 1836 we then left capteena and started a south west course about sixty five miles to coal run settlement Athens County Marion township still in the state of Ohio and got there to our own place the 25 of same monthe 6 day of week about 8 o'clock at night   The above is an extract of an electrostatic copy of two hand written pages by Elizabeth Stanton.  Spelling and punctuation is exactly as it was found in her own handwriting.  The source copy is located at The Friends Library, Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania (Miscellaneous Manuscripts Undated).   Paul J.
