Dear Dick:
Well, the opera production is over and I am still alive. Both performances went quite well, and we had good houses. Toth is an excellent conductor and I feel that the orchestra was much better prepared than ever before.
Aletha has been doing a little part-time work at the college addressograph office. We are both making plans for our trip, and sincerely hope that you can be with us. I think you would get a great deal out of it and you would add a lot tot he party, which will probably number between 15 and 20. Nine have already paid their deposits and over a hundred inquiries have come in, so if you have any intention of coming along you had better make a deposit so a place can be saved for you. I think I told you that you could save $200 by going Tourist Class on the ocean voyage.
John has been out of school for several days with a sore throat. Nana is back here with us after taking care of Ford for two weeks while Peg was in Florida. Dan was home for the week-end. He is finding the engineering course tough going.
Arthur Williams had a lot of bands here on Saturday. I didn't hear any of the competition as I was up to my neck in opera.
Let us hear from you when you have time.
As ever,
Dan
