Dear Bro: Your letter came to hand Friday evening. I will pen a few lines today in reply.
This is a beautiful day and every thing seems bright and cheerful. I have just returned from S.S. Our topic as you know was a Missionary topic and Fess gave quite an interesting discussion along the line of preparations for the work of Missions. He laid much stress on preparation of the heart and importance of choosing our work and meditations on same.
Prof. Maglott will conduct a song service this afternoon in Y.M.C.A. meeting. Next Thursday will be contest day, there will only be three days of school this week. You spoke in ref. to the Stockport school, they pay $60 per mo. they have already about twenty applications.
You must surely be in an uneasy position realizing the importance of the work as you do. It makes a decision quite difficult. I do not feel like making even a suggestion, but the climate would surely have an effect in the way you mentioned. I pray that the way may be made so plain that you may be able to come to a decision that will be thoroughly satisfactory.
I have not applied for any other school. I received word from Doctor Heston he wanted me to state what wages I wanted. He said they would have at least one other application for that room. I am thinking of applying for that school. By G. K.'s, will write to C. A. and find out concerning same. I have not heard from Seth and am some what uneasy. I rec'd a letter from Carlos this last week. He was going out home for a few days. I would like to hear as soon as Mr. Cockrel finds out as to whether he can pay his notes at one time so we can have them sent to us. He can pay the money to you and I will instruct you later as to what to do with it.
This term has not been very satisfactory to me but I will have to do the best I can. It is quite a task for me to study this nice weather.
Well I hope you are getting along all right and that you may be able to decide soon what course you will take in ref to what you mentioned in your letter. Let me hear from you often.
Unworthily L. D. Harris
