Dear "Rels" --------------------
I have been added to your little group and I am so happy about it. I have read, and re-read, all of your letters and, have even borrowed Glenn's typewriter in order that I might make copies for both myself and, for Glenn. Now that I am "In", hope you can put up with me for awhile! Oh yes, maybe--- you are wondering who "I" am ??? I am Alva and Nellie- (Eleanor) Lambert's daughter, "Nellie Marie". My name is still, Lambert! -- (I used to say, "My name is LAMBERT, dernit!" because I hadn't been fortunate to find a good husband, but now--, since I have read the circle letters, I say-- "My name is LAMBERT---YIPPEE!". I can see that I have every reason for pride when I say "LAMBERT", and I am so sorry that I never had the opportunity to really know my cousins, aunts-uncles and, other relatives. I am Glenn Lambert's oldest and youngest and, "prettiest" sister! When I win one of these big Jackpot Crossword puzzle prizes that has been running in our own local Fort Wayne paper and in two (2), Chicago papers, the very first thing I am going to do is go to see Aunt Carrie; then--- I'll really, cut loose and from there on, it's just hard to tell which one of you, I might drop in on for "chow"!.
After Mother's death at Christmas- 1948, I have lived alone. It was necessary that I quit my job at the Magnavox Company- (Radio & Television Mfgr.), after fifteen years of service with the Company as a Sec'y Buyer & Expediter. In 1952 I underwent major surgery. After 5 weeks in a Ft. Wayne hospital however, I recovered rapidly and took a couple of temporary jobs-- then, had a sort of a relapse and had to quit work. Hadn't worked for almost two years until just recently. I am now employed as a Sec'y. to the V.P. in Chg. of Engr. at Bowsers, Inc., here in Ft. Wayne. (You see, I live at New Haven but Ft. Wayne is only six miles out of New Haven.) I have purchased a second hand car and drive to work every third week. I am pooling rides with some other girls from New Haven-- that way, it is cheaper for all of us and since I have not been able to work for nearly two years, the cheaper the transportation, the better for me. I am working for a Jew but he surely seems like a regular fellow and is indeed, a very brilliant man. Religion or nationality never makes any difference to me as I am a firm believer that God created us all equal and from past experience I have had with Jews, I have found them to be very brilliant and that they, - (if YOU, are a square shooter and produce the work put before you), will do more for you in the long run than any one else. The $64.00 question is, however, do they like me, and how long will Bowers keep me?. My work is very interesting and although I had never before worked in the Engineering Department, I haven't as yet, run up against anything I couldn't solve.
I had a wonderful visit with Dwight Mayne and his daughter- Henrietta and, her lovely children while they were here visiting Glenn's at their lovely Lake cottage on beautiful Lake James- (Indiana). I liked Henrietta so very much for her outstanding personality, friendliness and, frankness. I only hope that at some future date-- (when (?), I win one of those big Jackpot Crossword prizes), that I can drive up to Port Huron, Michigan to see her again. Dwight Mayne- by the way, became a 1st class boatman while at the Lake-- he took Jerry Lee Ramsey- (Glenn's grandson) and myself for a long motor boat ride around the Lake. I took my camera along and shot a good many colored- (Kodachrome), pictures and all of which, turned out exceptionally good. I also shot several excellent pictures of Dwight- Henrietta and children and several very good ones of Glenn & Mabel, their children, & grandchildren as well as, recent pictures of my brother- Frank- his

wife- Grace, their children and, grandchildren. Took some of my brother Ralph- his wife and their daughter- Carol, who incidentally is now married and living in Venice, California. I will try in the near future, to have some prints made from these Kodachrome slides to enclose in the next circle letter-- (to be returned to me, after the letter has made its rounds).
I just not realized that Glenn addressed and stamped the envelope for this circle letter and since I have already, almost written a book, perhaps he didn't even put enough postage on the envelope to cover this serial-- (Ha!). So--o, adios for now and may God bestow his richest blessings upon all of you and take care of you.
Lovingly-
Your cousin- & niece-

Aunt Carrie-
I have been able to procure two copies of the June issue of Seventeen magazine- one for me and one for Mabel. Diane is surely a sweet girl and I am mighty proud of this article. By the way Aunt Carrie, wasn't that Uncle Oscar's photograph hanging on the wall behind the family, at the piano? Guess you know how very much, I too, loved him!
Tell Diane, I'd love to go skating with her, for that is my hobby! I ice skated at the Coliseum here in Ft. Wayne- Frid- Sat- and, Sun. afternoon and would go every evening if there were skating, I guess! I really love it, and can now do the waltz and the Mohawk on skates.
