My Darling Joe: Your very very welcome letter came to me Monday evening. I am well and busy. I was very sorry to hear of your sickness and wish I might have been there to help care for you, but I trust you are entirely well now. I try to not look for you but it is almost impossible to keep from watching the 5 o'clock train. But I fear you are worrying and working very hard to make arrangements for the Seminary. Last evening in talking with father about our arrangements for the coming year he mentioned the fact that he has $40 (forty dollars) of church money here in the bank and we might have it for a year or eighteen months or I think longer than that if we want it. Father is church treasurer and said he would have to charge us a little interest but of course we would expect to pay that. Father might possibly want to use $10 dollars of this money but thinks he could get it elsewhere if we want the whole amount.
I believe if you are sure of that money from Uncle that we could risk it with that and go ahead. Please do not think I am trying to dictate. I thought if you had not been able to make the arrangements perhaps this would help us out. I do think it would make it pretty late for you to wait until Sat. but do as you like and think best. One of us could meet Grace at Col. Now dear Joe you must not worry about things for all will come out right some way. I think we can not see about our rooms until we get to Dayton. Now if you think best for any other arrangements just go ahead for I believe you will be led by the Holy Spirit.
Let us just trust God and I believe all will come out right.
Whether we make arrangements for the Seminary or not we want you to come up soon.
Now be good to Joe and do not worry.
Your own true little wife
Bertha Lambert Harris
N.B. Do not forget your little scissors as it will save us buying a pair. Love to all,
Berfy
P.S.
If you see Grace tell her to bring the goods for her cape and we will help her with it. Bobo.
