Dear Richard: Greetings! We think of you so very very often and wish we might see you for a big long visit! Hope the year that is now over was okay and that prospect for 1988 are bright indeed! We had a long letter from Glenn — he still leafs thru the Railroad magazines and he found a picture of a big diesel enging pulling in to Horicon! He tells us that he and Irene will be coming back to Ohio sometime this Spring. If this does indeed happen, we have to pull Ed out of Dayton and have an old time reunion! Wouldn't that be great! The placid pool of our health got sort of a shake up this year with the discovery that I am "growing" a bunch of tumors in my Liver — presumably having jumped from the Pancreas. The bother so far has not been all that bad. They have me on Chemo but all anyone hopes is that the Chemo will SLOW the rate of growth. I still FEEL good. We thot after this was discovered, of hunting for a retirement center, but now our thinking is that when matters are rough, we will go back to Puerto Rico. We will hope to stay right here just as long as we can.
Have a great New Year and please keep in touch. We send the warmest of greetings to a great and cherished friend! Most cordially,
John & Virginia S.
