Dear Richard:
Just a few lines this morning. All is well as usual. Glad to get your card but sorry to hear of your delay on traction. Think you were fortunate to escape with no injuries.
Am getting ready for Otterbein Sorosis tonite. Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Comfort & Miss Niswonger help entertain. We are planning for at least thirty. I went down town yesterday & bought some more cups & saucers, plates, & etc. I want to have a dinner for the faculty and wives soon.
This is such wonderful weather. I do hope you will get out all you can. Hike down and see Mrs. Adams and Otterbein some evening & plan to see Hannah. Wish you were here to help me tonite.
Had an Italian paper from Dan with a write up about Alfredo Lamberti. So I handed it to my vegetable man to read and translate it. He blathered it off in Italian & then said, "It say somebody play, somebody sing." I suppose that is a good example of most translations.
A fine big Angora cat came to one of the homes near here. They cannot keep it because they have a bird. If they do not find the owner I may decide to adopt it.
Write often - I sent your clothes.
Love
Mother
