Dear Mrs. Stuart,
Enclosed is your membership card for the Morgan Co. Chapter of OGS.
The day you were in McConnelsville we almost met. You and your husband were leaving as I came to the library. One of our members told me you were on your way to the Chesterhill, Marion Co. area. I have lived in Marion and Homer twps. for the last fifty years. Where your Lamberts lived in Marion Twp. is just a few miles from where I lived. I have sent you a copy of a map of Marion Twp. from our 1875 Atlas.
The day you were there, I had received a letter from Luella M. Williams, P.O. Box 426, Greenwood, MS 38930, who was also wanting information about the Lamberts. Her ancestor was Benjamin who was a brother of your Abner.
She wanted a will or estate settlement for her Benjamin, but I couldn't find one. I did some checking in the books we have available and also some courthouse records. I decided since I am sending your card to you that I would also send you a copy of the letter I sent to her. I have information on both of your families in the letter if you can sort it out.
As you can see in the letter, I told her about your being here. Hope you don't mind. You are some kind of cousins.
