Dear Paul,
I enjoyed our telephone conversation and appreciate the computer print out. Have never seen one before. Your are just one month older than our daughter Dee Dee Cox (Mrs. Joe B) in Naples. I have heard the name Helen O'Connell but have not met her. How is she related to you?
Since talking to you I have gotten out the oldest files and realize that you probably have a copy of the material my gd father, Oscar, sent to your gd mother, Bertha, via W. O. Lambert in 1931. Your gd father graciously typed the records which my gd father had hand printed. I also have the letter which accompanies the records when your gd parents sent them back (under the Bonebrake letterhead) dtd 7 Jan 1933. My gd father had a heart attack in 1933 and he and my grandmother gradually became full time Florida residents. He did hand print his autobiography but did

little work on the genealogy. After he died my father added some original records such as copies of deeds, marriage certificates and wills.
Some fifteen years ago I became interested and though I have met only a few members of the family I fell in love with them. I have been gathering material for a Family history all this time but still do not know who our John Lambert was.
Most of the family I have met and corresponded with have been part of the Daniel Webster line. I corresponded with Pauline Warfel for several years before her death as you know. Would be glad to send you copies of what she sent to me. Althea [sic] and Daniel Harris and Lucile and Leroy Webner came to Naples one Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed them very much. I heard from Lucile several times after that - then a beautiful letter from Mary Sue telling of her mother's death.
Stephen Smith, Malcolm's brother and his wife, Margaret, stopped in one time and we had a good visit. Margaret was

president of the Dallas Genealogical Society some years ago so I am sure she has very good records. We met them again at a meeting of the Lambert/Lambeth Family Association in Ft. Worth. That association has a newsletter and represents Lamberts all over the country - all different lines - and gives them a chance to exchange information. Have never found anything special that way but a newsletter for our own Lamberts would be a great idea. Malcolm probably told you that the Smith-Lambert line have a get together every other year. I believe this is the off year.
We met Ellis and Paul Selby when they moved to Florida after he retired. Ellis was Reece Lambert's gd dt - dt of Rebecca Lambert and Ed Hopkins. They lived in Columbus. We were very fond of them so were my parents. At one time I corresponded with John Selby, their son, and his wife. They sent me copies of records frim Daniel W. Lambert's Bible. John has died since and Pat remarried but I do not know her new name. Do not know who has the Bible now. Had

one letter from Paul Selby Jr. but it contained no records. He was head of the College of Law at the Univ. of W. VA. at that time.
The Albert line is another very large line and is well recorded. Albert Jr. and Barclay Lambert married sisters, as you probably know, and they moved to Linn Co., MO. I believe they celebrated their 25th reunion last year. I will try to put you in touch with someone who is going and can give you the particulars. I think they meet the second Sunday in August.
Our children from Naples are here now and after they have gone we should try to get together. Will be in touch.
Best wishes -
{Bette Knapp}
