My Dear Husband,
Here I am sitting at Richard's typewriter. We came through with a young man who lives about two miles out of Apple Creek, and such a lovely drive. Mrs. Pfouts gave me a very cordial welcome and they seem like very fine people. Richard has a cozy, comfortable room. My room, while he is next door to Richard's.
Dan's were about home yesterday and went to Orr's in the evening. I went to the class meeting in the evening.
Wed. Morning, I do not know where I left off last night but I will just ramble on. It is about six forty-five, Richard is still snoozing. I had a good rest in an excellent bed.
Things were going about as usual at home. Pennell told me that he thought a delegation would go down to conference on Thursday evening. I also plan to guarantee the same salary as last year. Mills told them they could not send you back if they cut your salary, so they seemed quite anxious.
I do not know what Richard's plans are while here but we expect to be home Friday evening or Saturday morning.
Richard gave things a pretty good watering before we left and I hope every thing will be all right. I know this must be full of mistakes but you will understand,
With bushels of love
Mother.
