Dear Dick -
Mother stood the trip at Easter very well. However she doesn't remember coming back and thinks she is still in Columbus.
She is more & more confused and really a strain and worry. I am writing Jim to see if they could take her a month as I am getting on edge with it all. The change might do her good and with Dan's opera show coming up I need time & energy to help him on that.

the crazy ideas she gets.
The enclosed cards she wrote you yesterday & today show some of it. Dan is away all day & almost every night so I get the load to carry. Dr. Siddall said last week either I had to get away or send her someplace for a short time so I could relax. My nerves are on edge.
This morning she asked Dan, "Do you know my son Richard?" I am sorry to complain - but I can't take it much longer. Dan wrote & talked to Mrs. Roberts about finding a place in Columbus. Could you talk to them. She is happier down there. Pray for me to have the strength to do the right thing.
