Dear Uncle Dan,
Some time ago, I told you about a rather humorous poem written by James Arthur Harris and published in a book about him that is here in the Harris-Lambert Archives.
I made a note to send you a photocopy of the poem, but it became lost in my proverbial disarray. That note, recently discovered, prompted me to drop this in today's mail.
I hope you enjoy it. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed working with all the materials you have entrusted to me to preserve for our family heritage. I feel a great responsibility to share this information widely. I used your recent gift of concern to obtain the photographs of the graves of John Lambert and Elizabeth Sayre and distribute them to some thirty people, not an inexpensive pursuit these days.
I am still working on getting your mother's and Watson Harris‘ autobiographies to publication. This is a goal that I will accomplish, someday.
I hope you are enjoying your new “home." Your piano, as companion, must be of great consolation. Please let me hear more about how you are doing.
Love,
