Context

Daniel A. Harris 5840 S. W. 48th St. Miami, Florida 33155 February 15, 1980 Dear Dick: Just a short note to thank you for your memorial gift to the church. Aletha is certainly not forgotten here. There have been many gifts to worthwhile causes in her name. I enjoyed your visit here so very much. You must plan to come again. I hope to get up north sometime this spring. In the meantime I am keeping busy with lessons, concerts, and opera. We recently had an excellent production of a new version of Offenbach's "Tales of Hoffman", and this week it is Boito's "Mefistofele". Excellent artists, and imaginative staging, with a good orchestra. I enclose a copy of a letter which I used to acknowledge my Christmas greetings. I have since had some very interesting replies. I talked with Eva last night. Nana is having some more problems. She fell, but didn't break any bones. Tomorrow I plan to drive up to see Lucile Lambert and her husband at Barefoot Bay, and on the way back I hope to see Foster Miller and his wife in Lake Worth. Hope you are happy in your new home, and that your work is going well. It is always good to hear from you. Love Dan
