Context

514 Woodbury Avenue Columbus, Ohio December 2, 1940 Dear Amos and Bliss Driggs: I just came from Marion. Laura is very sick. Bertha thought last night that she would not get through the night. The Doctor was with her much of the night and seems to offer little hope of her recovery. Perhaps you know that she is in the home of Mr. L. C. Mosley, 535 Pearl St. Marion Ohio. His phone is 5018. They do not know your address and of course are much worried. Bertha gave me the last address she had. Please get in touch with them as soon as possible. My family are well as usual. Bertha's sight is failing very rapidly. Paul is in Chicago, Alfred in Oberlin, James in Glens Falls New York and Richard has been teaching two years at Apple Creek Ohio but is taking his Master's degree in O.S.U. this year. Frank was with us Sunday and told me of Laura's illness. He saw Laura last Saturday. Folk in Athens Co. are about as usual. Hope this finds you well and happy. With kindest regards, J.H.Harris
