Ada, O. Aug. 26, 1895.
We the undersigned hereby pledge ourselves to the following agreement from this day forward.
I. That we yield ourselves to each other in all that pertains to the vow of betrothal, until our wedding day.
II. That we hold this vow sacred to be broken only by that which would make our union unpleasant.
III. The above being satisfactory to both parties we shall unite in marriage at such date as shall be agreed upon by both parties.
IV. That we love each other with a tender affection and that we will strive to the utmost to keep that love aglow.
V. That we will honor God in all things whatever the cost may be.
VI. We will strive to be one in our aims and purposes.
VII. That we consult each in all our affairs so far as both parties are interested.
VIII. That we strive to secure a good home and make it a model home with pure love as the corner-stone.
IX. That we will be economical with our means.
X. That we will respect each other's views however widely we may differ.
