[Cover of flowers]
Dear Dick:
Just thought I'd write and reassure you that the trains are getting through to Syracuse but also to say that you will not see such flowers as these in bloom over here. Better wear your boots — Certainly your scarf, gloves, woolies etc. Anyhow — do come, we are all anxious to have you but do stay awhile. We want to arrange a musical evening — Could you stay long enough for such shenanigans?
Mrs. Stacey wrote of Dan's ulcer. Wow! Those are not easy to live with, but millions do — so sorry it happened to him. She just finished a long letter to Aletha. Hope this will not cloud their Christmas too much.
Jim is fine — he's racing from pillar to post now — is busy making quick changes from his Santa suit to his robe — never a dull moment but they're all happy ones.
I'm not going to wish you a Merry Christmas hope to give you a kiss instead.
Do drop a note about your visit here so I can set a party date.
With love to you from Jim & Caroline
