Dear Mr. Harris,-
We were glad to receive recently the declaration card of the Student Volunteer Movement signed by you. We rejoice to know that you have formed this purpose for you life work, and welcome you most heartily into the ranks of the volunteers.
Enclosed please find a few suggestions which may be helpful to you. There is great need of volunteers who will work while preparing for the field, as well as after they reach it, and we beg of you to do all in your power to interest others in this great work.
Will you kindly answer the questions on the enclosed blank, and return it to us as soon as convenient, that you may be duly enrolled?
Please keep us informed regarding your plans, progress of preparation, and work accomplished, and if we can be of service to you, feel free to write us at any time.
We mail you today a sample copy of the STUDENT VOLUNTEER, the official organ of the Movement, trusting that you will be pleased with the magazine. It would give us pleasure to enroll you as a subscriber.
Sincerely yours,
{H. B. Sharman}
Mr. Joseph H. Harris,
