Dear Paul:
Belated wishes for a happy birthday! I hope you and all your family are well and happy.
I have been here in Vienna since April 23 and will stay until May 24. I have been working hard on the German language and can now spit much farther than before.
There is an infinite variety of opera, concerts and theatre to choose from here. I have been watching rehearsals and attending performances and am still learning something in my old age.
As you know, Aletha is being a good sport and is holding the fort at home. We did not want to take John out of school and Nana is there too.
I will go back via Salzburg, Munich, Frankfort, Cologne, London, and will sail on the Mauritania on June 6, N.Y. June 12 and Oberlin June 13.
