Harris Jr. 26 August 2003 [End of Page 1] Cassie (Martha Cassandra Harris) She died in 1980. Married late, but not to a Phillips, as suspected. In the 70s married Glen Arnold. He had a daughter from a previous marriage named Pat(ricia) Arnold. Glen died before Cassie. They both lived and died in the Otterbein Home in Lebanon, Ohio. Glen’s wife had been a friend of Cassie’s. Many were surprised when his wife died and he began courting Cassie, but the family was excited that she was finally going to have a husband. In 1976 their address was 121 Newcomer Hall, Otterbein Home, Lebanon, OH 45036. Jean has a copy of a letter from Pat Arnold dated 9 Aug 1980 referring to Cassie’s probate case number PC 80-04-0446 Docket 100, p. 430 in Butler County, Ohio, which is just west of Warren County, where Lebanon is located. Helen B. Harris Suffered from Parkinson’s disease. Jean remembers Cassie having to feed her. Margaret Nothstine Married later in life to a Rankin and had no children. 1976: 4902 Fairway Court, Columbus, OH 43214 Jean thinks the Margaret referred to in Frank’s letters is not a wife, but his granddaughter, Margaret Nothstine Rankin. She would go and stay with them often to help out, as she had no children. Ann Nothstine Married Cleve Cochran and may be the only sibling that is still alive in 2003. 1976: 3081 Grassmere Avenue, Columbus, OH 43224 Alfred Nothstine May have been married to an Edna, who died before him. Believe they were both death by 1976, but address was 8148 Oak Street, Ida, MI 48140 Nancy Harris Born in Bern Township, Athens County, Ohio, in the first house east of Mt. Hermon. Jean said she will send a letter from Cassie with details of a number of births. Died 24 Oct 1973 in Westerville from lung cancer, though she never smoked. Buried in Otterbein Cemetery, SE corner, about four rows from east boundary, facing east. I wrote a date of 20 Sep 1887 by her name, but don’t know what it is. Nancy’s mother died before 1923, as Nancy regretted that she never got to see Helen Jean, who was born that year. [End of Page 2] Harry Harris Harry was married to Svea ? She pronounced her name Sevaya. She was very pretty. They where Christian Scientists. He died of a heart attack while getting gas for his car. She worked as an executive secretary or similar position and remarried another Christian Scientist after Harry’s death. May not have been married long and was not happy in the marriage. Curtis Fleming Ricketts Jean’s father. His father died before 1923. Mabel Fleming Curtis Fleming Rickett’s mother. Lived on Electric Avenue, Westerville, Ohio and is buried in Otterbein Cemetery. Curtis Warren Ricketts Jean’s brother went by “Warren.” Born 6 Apr 1917 or 18 in Westerville, Ohio. Helen Jean Ricketts Born 28 July 1923 in home on University Street, Westerville, Ohio. Jean’s parents, Curtis and Nancy, did not divorce, but did not live together after 1941. Curtis had bought vaults in the mausoleum at Otterbein Cemetery, but he would not permit his wife, Nancy, to be buried with him. He is in the mausoleum with his mother. Nancy is buried in the ground with her sister, Cassie Arnold. They are buried in the SE part of the cemetery, about four rows from the east boundary. Jean has no knowledge of Franklin Work Harris’s death or burial location. Only knew than he lived with Cassie and Helen at 275 Maple Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio, in his later years, after Akron.
