Context

1 April 1994 318 Shady lane Marlton, N.J. 08054 Dear Paul, As I indicated on the phone, I was surprised and elated with your first phone call; and consequently could not wait the opportunity to talk with Vernon Lambert. Whiting is only thirty miles or so from here. I am enclosing copies of my fathers death certificate as well as the letter from St. Johns Home. Also enclosing a copy of my parents Certificate of Marriage from St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Brooklyn. It was only five blocks from the 4517 address on Ft. Hamilton Parkway. I've-also enclosed a copy of the letter I spoke of from Ethel Lambert to my mother in 1931. According to Vernon, Gloria, Sadie, and Jean were apparently roomers. As I mentioned on the phone, my children usually get together for an Easter "brunch" in the area; and so my report to them on our talks were a most pleasant surprise. My daughter Susan (the oldest) lives outside of Philadelphia in Westtown. My other daughter, Elizabeth, and my oldest son live in the immediate area. Tim, the youngest, lives in Boston. He teaches at Boston Univ. It is interesting, that you seeking information are in fact providing much more information to me; clarifying some of the things I did know; if only vaguely. I am looking forward to the data you are sending. I've been trying to arrange clearly all that you have reported on the phone; but those reports will help in my notes. I am looking forward to the opportunity of seeing you and your sister; so please let me know when and where. With the very best regards, {Jim} Jim P.S. Although the typing is not the best; my handwriting is far worse. [End of Page 1] ST. JOHN’S HOME 144 BEACH 111th STREET ROCKAWAY PARK 94, N.
