Context

Dearest Ones of the Lambert Circle — Greetings! What a joy and privilege just to know that you all belong to us! Like cousin Mayme, I am so thankful for the Lambert Heritage! Do you know that when Grandmother Lambert died that she left in her "will," the request that all of her children, grandchildren and children to be — should memorize the 103rd Psalm! to me this is a wonderful heritage! How happy we should all be to share such a wonderful heritage! [End of Page 1] How I shall miss my dear sister Bertha's & Otterbein's letters! They were both a great inspiration to me and their lives were most helpful to me always! Cousin Osborne Lambert, I want to congratulate you on your poetry you wrote for our last letter — it reminded me of my own saintly mother, (wife of Rev. D. W. Lambert) who raised 10 children and was a wonderful mother! Glenn & Mabel Lambert, congratulations on that fine new grandson — it seems to me that you both grow younger looking and handsomer as time goes on! Daniel Harris, your notes about your [End of Page 2] precious mother Bertha Lambert Harris, were very beautiful to me and sounded just like her own sweet self. She was a precious sister to me and oh! how I do miss her! It doesn't seem possible that dear brother Otterbein has gone! He visited me every week here in the Sanitarium and his talks and inspirational thoughts brought great joy to me. How we shall miss his letter in the next package! But his life will be a great inspiration to us always. I think we should have some new additions to help fill the vacant places of those dear ones who have gone on. So, I am recommending the names of: [End of Page 3] (1) Horace Lambert Mayne, son of Hannah Lambert Mayne, address 336 West First Ave., Columbus, Ohio. (2) Rev. James Lowell Harris, 173 Beverly Road, Syracuse, New York, son of Mrs. Bertha Lambert Harris. (3) Mrs. Pauline Warfel, daughter of Otterbein Lambert, of Morton — Pa. Welcome to all you new ones — we are eager to hear from each and every one of you. With very best wishes and a God bless you every one, Your devoted cousin, Caroline L. Charles
