Dear Dick:
I know you must think we are terrible for not sending you the money for the flowers. The truth of the matter is - that we haven't had it. We have had a lot of sickness since the first of the year. Both children have had chicken-pox, I had a very bad case of strep throat and had to have the doctor three times in one week. Midge is just getting over the mumps, & skipper will probably have them soon. Then we had to put out the money for Paul's trip to Oberlin and now our big insurance is due. I hope that by next pay day I will be able to send it to you. Thanks for being so patient & thanks for the letter about the funeral. Hope you have a nice Easter.
