Westerville, O., Sept. 16, '96.
Mr. J. H. Harris
Chillicothe, O.
Dear Joe: — Your letter found me yesterday. I have a little time now and will use it in this way. I am well and as busy as a student usually is. I am glad to know you are coming towards Westerville, although you do come somewhat slowly. Students keep coming in almost every day, so you will not be much behind some of them.
Just now we are having such lovely weather for school, and it is much pleasanter for agents too, I can testify.
Last night a party of us had intended to go to Columbus and spend the evening using the telescope in the O.S.U. but the gods sent us cloudy weather and we could not go. We were very much disappointed, for it would no doubt have been a rare treat (D. I. was to have been my “point”).
Society spirit is getting stirred up again. Cleio will get some of the girls but no more than her share, if she does that. School work is going more natural this week. I think Virgil is just fine. I have secured the books I spoke of. You spoke of the “Ada Herald.” It is still coming.
I imagine we can look for you in W. about Sat., but perhaps my imagination is a little ahead of me.
I hope you will pardon these short letters, but I thought it would be better than none at all.
Hoping to see you soon. I remain
Your true one,
Bertha Lambert.
