I have been helping my father put together the Lambert records which he and my grandfather accumulated over the years and have found your father's "Record of the Lambert Family in the U.S.A." In it he says part of the information was copied from a book brought to Ohio from North Carolina. Do you know where that book is? If you can locate it I would consider it a privilege if you would let me see it. If you could send it registered mail, I would return it the same way - or if you are reluctant to mail it, I would be happy to pay to have the records zeroxed. Also if there are any records to prove that our first ancestor in this country (John Lambert born 1715) was a great grandson of John Lambert, the Parliamentary General under Cromwell, it is important that we can show that proof.
About thirteen years ago you sent some old letters to Grace Selby Smith. You probably have many more interesting records among your father's things. I hope someone will undertake a Lambert Family book before long, so if you could assemble everything you can find it would be most helpful. There are not many members of the family left who can help do this. We have the material on Reece Lambert's line pretty well compiled. If you could get the material on your own line and as much on all Daniel Webster's children as possible, it would be wonderful!!
Do you know how many of his grand children are still living? Do you have children who might help with these records? There are only six of Reece Lambert's grand children left - my father is the oldest. He and my mother have lived in Okmulgee, Okla. since 1907. If you know anyone who has old family records who might help I would appreciate knowing about them.
Every best wish to you and yours. Your cousin,
