-over 200 people came to see the launching
-Arpege was loaded on a truck and shiped to the harbor for its Christening
-tooks a bottle of champange breaking it against the prow and breaking a 16 ounce bottle of Arpege perfume against the hull
-the reason for the name Arpege: he met another french man named Edouard L.Cournand who explained "perfumes are my business, bu plastics are my folie."
-Since Edouard L. Cournand was the frist to come forward with financial aid to Jean Filloux he named his craft after the perfume:Arpege
