Collection number--18 Bore:3/4" Long: 42"(over to the drop in handle) 52" ( if measured all the way across) Whole bore: about 7 Hold the handle and drill by turning the handle which makes the auger move. Used to drill a hole into the wood. diffrent Augars mean diffrent size holes. Augers are the largest hang tool used to drill holes. ehad a screw head of the cutting edge and did not require a starting hole. sometimes called a "ship, power, or spur auger" (??)
