Hold the handle and drill by turning the handle which makes the auger move. Used to drill a hole into the wood. diffrent Augars mean diffrent size wholes. Augars are the largest hang tool used to drill holes. Augars had a screw head of the cutting edge and did not require a starting hole. sometimes called a "ship, power, or spur auger" (??)

rusty but in good condition. No chipping. has a few deep knicks but not to bad (close to augar where the metal narrows)
