Collection number--15 Bore:1 3/8" Long:60 1/2" Whole bore: 12" handle narrows alittle towards the bore handle held auger-- Used to drill a hole into the wood. diffrent Augers mean diffrent size holes. constructors would press down useing the handle to hold and turn it drilling a hole in to the wood Used to drill a hole into the wood.Hold the handle and drill by turning the handle which makes the auger move. Augres are the largest hang tool used to drill holes. Augers had a screw head of the cutting edge and did not require a starting hole. Sometimes called "one man auger" or "post hole auger" (??)
