-some of the journal consist of him writting random notes and address (sparatically placed throughout the journal)
- some has writtings on who he made the boat for and what days he worked along with the hours
-some has writtings of which supplies were needed and the expense
-in the middle he wrote B and O Bridge Co. information about Scows and the days of the week in the left hand margine
- only a few pages are torn out
-there is a drawling of the outline of a boat with a motor(??) on the inside
-one page is labed "Expensive Labor"-- with names of people and numbers on the right of the name
-an account of his work-- days with hours of labor listed for a few months (July ,August, andOctober written)
-a page has numbers of how much the boat cost and how he was paid (check or cash)
-second to last page has a list written of clothing and price

Cover is torn and riped, has black dots (pen?), binding broken, wrinkles, right conner torn off
back cover torn, riped, black dots (pen?) black smear in left bottom conner
pages some are torn-- writting is still legible, back pages are the worse in condition-- torn in 1/2 but still binded together
