Author's Personal Collection: Appointment of W. K. Waialeale to be a Registrar within the 6th District 6th Representative District, County of Kauai, Territory of Hawaii. William Kauwila Nui Makaehaonalani Waialeale was born on 30 August 1892, in Koloa, Kaua'i,Hawaii. He married Edith Kaleimomi Kamauoha on 11 February 1915, in Waimea, Kaua'i, Hawaii, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Representative District 6, Kaua'i, Hawaii, United States in 1940 and Kapaia, Kaua'i, Hawaii, United States for about 1 years. He died on 20 February 1972, in Lihue, Kaua'i, Hawaii, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Waimea, Kaua'i, Hawaii. On lower left of document, Lucius E. Pinkham signature, signed as Governor of the Territory of Hawaii.

William Henry Rice signed as Sheriff of Kauai, Chairman, Board of Registration. (See similar entry under Lucius E (Eugene) Pinkham). Born in Lihu‘e in 1874, the grandson of Kaua‘i missionaries and the eldest son of William Hyde Rice, Kaua‘i’s last governor, William Henry Rice was elected Sheriff continuously from 1905 through 1942.
