Cooke Mission HouseDescription
Inscribed "This house is the first frame house erected in Hawaii, and is situated on King St near the Palace. It was first occupied by Father Cooke who taught within its precincts the great kings and chiefs of Hawaii, and it is still in a fine state of preservation and has many interesting relics within its doors. The entire house was brought around Cape Horn in a sailing vessel with the early missionaries about 1830."
