Lot of 2 covers addressed to Dr B. D. (Bejamin Davis) Bond, Kohala, Hawaii Island. BENJAMIN DAVIS BOND, Physician. For more than two score years, Dr. Benjamin D. Bond has ministered to the residents of the Kohala district on the Island of Hawaii as surgeon and government physician. Born at Kohala, Jan. 21, 1853, he is the son of the Rev. Elias and Ellen Mariner (Howell) Bond, noted missionaries. His education was received at Punahou Academy, Honolulu; Phillips Exeter Academy, New Hampshire; Amherst College, B.A., 1879, A.M., 1883; Medical College, University of Michigan, 1882, M.D., and in post-graduate work in New York City. He returned to his birthplace in 1883 and has practiced his profession there since, being resident government physician and acting assistant surgeon, U.S. Public Health Service at Mahukona, Hawaii. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Hawaiian Branch of the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of Hawaii.
