Cover postmarked Jun 3, 1941 U.S.S. Arizona. Missing, Date of Loss Dec 7, 1941 Linald Long Collier Jr was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He was the son of Linald Collier Sr and Alma Long. He attended school at La Marque, where he was one of the top students. He enlisted first in the US Army at Fort Crockett in Galveston. He then joined the US Navy in 1937.
