Description

Captain Benjamin Clough was the hero in the Mutiny of the "Sharon", which took place on November 6, 1842. Subsequently, he became Master of the "Northern Light" on a voyage to the North Pacific whaling grounds that began Dec. 8th 1864 and concluded Aug. 5th 1867. Harbor Master Registry of Lahaina places the "Northern Light" at Lahaina Oct. 30th 1865 and Oct. 26th 1866. Schuyler Rumsey Auction Sale 92 June 8-11, 2020 Lot 2636 reference
