Established in 1850, McInerny’s was a premier Honolulu retailer and a staple of Hawaii's fashion history, known for selling high-quality clothing, including 1950s-era aloha shirts. While retailing top local brands, they often used their own labels. A notable McInerny’s Department Store building was designed by architect Vladimir Ossipoff in 1957.
