W. J. Forbes was the son of Rev. Anderson O. Forbes, born Oct. 8, 1866. He began his career in the law office of William O. Smith, Honolulu. Assistant Manager of Lunalilo Home, Honolulu. He was a Charter member of the Society Sons of American Revolution, treasurer for ten years; member of the Chamber of Commerce of Honolulu.
